GS Caltex to supply 2,000 tons Neat SAF to DHL Express and build dedicated co‑processing line
- 2,000 tons of Neat SAF (100% SAF) to be supplied to DHL Express aircraft refuelling in Korea over the next year.

Deal and scope
GS Caltex and DHL Express signed a memorandum of understanding on September 8 at GS Tower in Gangnam, Seoul, to establish a partnership for carbon reduction based on sustainable aviation fuel. The signing was attended by GS Caltex’s Changsoo Kim and DHL Express CEO John Pearson.
Supply details
Under the agreement GS Caltex will supply the equivalent of 2,000 tons of Neat SAF (100% SAF) to DHL Express aircraft that refuel in Korea over the next year.
Production method and certification
The SAF to be supplied is produced via co‑processing and carries ISCC EU certification in compliance with the European Union’s Renewable Energy Directive.
Logistics and carbon programme
GS Caltex will participate in DHL Express’s GoGreen Plus programme; all overseas shipments sent by GS Caltex through DHL Express will use GoGreen Plus and GS Caltex will receive recognition for the carbon reductions achieved.
Capacity expansion and track record
To scale supply, GS Caltex will build a dedicated co‑processing production line with pipelines connecting bio‑feedstock tanks to refinery processes, scheduled for completion within the year to enable commercial‑scale SAF production. The company has prior SAF activity: sourcing SAF from Neste in 2023 for a government demonstration project, conducting Korea’s first SAF fueling demonstration flights with Korean Air (six flights), exporting blended Neat SAF to Narita via Itochu in September 2024 as Korea’s first commercial ISCC CORSIA‑certified SAF sale, and supplying multiple Korean carriers with internationally certified co‑processed SAF since 2024–2025.
