Eastar Jet Co., Ltd. is a South Korean low-cost carrier (LCC) that provides scheduled passenger air transportation services on domestic and international routes. Headquartered in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, the airline operates from primary bases at Seoul Gimpo International Airport and Incheon International Airport, with additional focus cities including Jeju, Busan, and Cheongju. Its route network encompasses numerous domestic connections across South Korea as well as international flights to destinations in Japan, China, Taiwan, and other parts of Asia.

Founded on October 26, 2007, Eastar Jet commenced commercial operations in January 2009 with its inaugural Seoul-to-Jeju flight using Boeing 737 aircraft. The company maintains a growing fleet primarily composed of Boeing 737-800 and next-generation 737 MAX 8 models, emphasizing fuel efficiency, reduced emissions, and fleet modernization. Recent expansions have increased the fleet size to over 20 aircraft, supporting higher capacity and new route development while achieving strong load factors.

Eastar Jet is fully owned by the private equity firm VIG Partners following its 2023 acquisition of a 100% stake. This followed prior ownership structures and a period of corporate rehabilitation. As one of South Korea's established low-cost carriers, it competes in the domestic aviation market by offering affordable fares and efficient operations. In support of industry sustainability efforts, the airline has received internationally certified co-processed sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) from GS Caltex since December 2024.
