Milestone achieved

Golden Pass LNG produced first LNG from Train 1 at its Sabine Pass, Texas facility, initiating sustained liquefaction operations.

Project scope

The export project includes three liquefaction trains with combined capacity of 18 million tonnes per annum and is a joint venture: QatarEnergy 70% and ExxonMobil 30%.

Investment

The partners announced a final investment decision exceeding $10 billion in February 2019 to develop the export project.

Schedule

Global LNG exports from the project are expected to begin in the second quarter of 2026, with first cargo to follow sustained operations.
