About Golden Pass LNG

Golden Pass LNG Terminal LLC (Golden Pass LNG) is a joint venture between QatarEnergy (70%) and ExxonMobil (30%), developing an LNG export facility at the existing terminal in Sabine Pass, Texas.

The project adds three liquefaction trains to the prior import and regasification infrastructure, with a combined capacity of approximately 18 million tonnes per annum (mtpa). A final investment decision exceeding $10 billion was announced in February 2019.

In March 2026, the facility achieved first LNG production from Train 1, marking the start of sustained liquefaction operations. Full commercial exports are expected to begin in the second quarter of 2026, with the first cargo to follow.
