Project Overview

Dreexo Energy is set to construct a new facility in the Cádiz Free Trade Zone, focusing on sustainable processing of industrial byproducts. The project will begin in early 2026 and aims to be operational by the end of the same year.

Location and Logistics

The plant will be built on 51,000 square meters of the former Altadis tobacco factory site, utilizing existing infrastructure to reduce construction time and carbon footprint. The location offers strategic port access for receiving raw materials from regions like the Middle East, Europe, and North Africa.

Process and Environmental Impact

The facility will convert non-edible animal fats and used industrial oils into refined chemical products through a zero-emission process. Advanced treatment methods will ensure the removal of contaminants without combustion or odors, aligning with stringent environmental standards.

Commitment to Circular Economy

Dreexo Energy emphasizes minimal waste and maximum reuse. Byproducts such as rubber residues will be sold, sand from filtration will be recycled, and water used in the process will be treated and returned to the municipal supply at household-grade quality.

Economic and Employment Impact

The construction phase is expected to create 100 to 200 jobs, while the operational facility will support around 50 skilled workers. The project is part of a broader initiative by the Free Trade Zone authority to promote Industry 4.0 and sustainable development in the region.
