BWT Alpine to run European logistics on Enilive HVOlution

Deployment
BWT Alpine Formula One Team will use HVOlution to power its logistics vehicles transporting cars and infrastructure during European rounds of the FIA Formula One World Championship. Refuelling will be handled via the Multicard system and the team’s logistics fleet will be equipped to use exclusively HVOlution over the coming weeks.
Fuel and emissions
HVOlution is a pure hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) diesel biofuel produced at Enilive biorefineries in Venice and Gela, mainly from waste and residues such as used cooking oils and animal fats. It is a drop‑in fuel that does not require modifications to engines or distribution infrastructure. According to Enilive, the average reduction in CO₂eq emissions across the entire supply chain for its 2025 HVO was 79.5% versus the reference fossil mix used in the EU Renewable Energy Directive calculation.
Partnership context and comments
The agreement was developed under the broader partnership between Eni and the BWT Alpine Formula One Team, in which Eni is the team’s Official Energy and Fuel Partner and the parties are collaborating on future biofuel development for motorsports. Enilive CEO Stefano Ballista said the move strengthens the partnership and contributes to decarbonising the team’s logistics; BWT Alpine Executive Advisor Flavio Briatore described the project as deepening collaboration built on trust.
