OMV Petrom and RNV Infrastructure have taken the final investment decision for three wind projects with a combined installed capacity of approximately 300 MW, which are now entering the execution phase.
Schedule and status
All three projects hold the required permits; staged commercial production is expected to begin from the first half of 2027.
Transaction and project breakdown
The three projects form part of an October 2024 transaction in which OMV Petrom acquired a 50% stake in four wind projects developed by RNV Infrastructure through Electrocentrale Borzeşti. Capacities are: Gura Văii (Bacău) 50 MW, Podu Turcului (Bacău) 100 MW, Poiana (Galaţi) 155 MW; a fourth project, Galaţi, is 657 MW and is pending a final investment decision.
