Electrocentrale Borzești S.R.L. is a Romanian holding company headquartered in Bucharest, primarily engaged in the development of renewable energy projects. Established in 2018 (formerly Infinite Gas Development SRL), it owns subsidiaries including Hoopeks International S.R.L., Union Wind S.R.L., Borzești Wind S.R.L., Borzești Power S.R.L., and Green Labs Advertising S.R.L., which focus on wind and solar power initiatives totaling approximately 1 GW capacity.
Key projects encompass wind farms such as Gura Văii (50 MW), Podu Turcului (100 MW), and Poiana (155 MW) in Bacău and Galați counties, alongside a 657 MW project in Galați pending final investment decision. It has commissioned an initial 1 MW photovoltaic installation at Borzești, with plans to expand to 50 MW by mid-2024, producing around 70 GWh annually.
In September 2024, OMV Petrom acquired a 50% stake from RNV Infrastructure, forming a joint venture for project execution, with commercial operations slated from 2027. The company supports Romania's transition to sustainable energy through grid-connected renewable assets in the northeast region.
