About TSE

Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) is Japan’s principal securities exchange and a core subsidiary of Japan Exchange Group, Inc. (JPX). It operates the country’s main cash equity markets—Prime, Standard, and Growth—hosting listings of domestic and international issuers. TSE provides listing and trading venues for common shares, ETFs/ETNs, REITs, and infrastructure funds; administers market rules and surveillance; disseminates real-time and historical market data; and calculates the TOPIX family of equity indices. Central counterparty clearing for trades is provided by Japan Securities Clearing Corporation (JSCC), another JPX subsidiary.

For the chemical industry, TSE serves as a key platform for capital formation, liquidity, and price discovery for leading chemical, materials, and life-sciences companies in Japan. Its listing standards, disclosure requirements, and governance and sustainability frameworks shape how sector companies report performance, manage risks, and engage with long-term investors.
