Total Quadran

Total Quadran is a French renewable energy company specializing in the development, construction, and operation of electricity generation facilities from renewable sources. Its core activities encompass wind power, ground-mounted and rooftop solar photovoltaic plants, hydroelectric installations, and biogas production from biomass and landfill sources.

The company operates across metropolitan France and French overseas territories including New Caledonia, Guadeloupe, Réunion, and others, with a strong local presence through multiple regional agencies. It manages a portfolio of hundreds of sites, producing green electricity for grid injection, self-consumption by industrial clients, and support of France’s energy transition.

Technologies include tracker-equipped solar farms, wind turbines, and energy storage solutions. Total Quadran functions as a wholly owned affiliate within the TotalEnergies group, integrated into the Gas, Renewables & Power (GRP) branch following its 2017 acquisition by Direct Énergie (itself acquired by Total in 2018) and 2019 rebranding from Quadran.

As a pioneer in French renewables, it ranks among the country’s leading independent producers, with historical strengths in overseas wind and solar markets and contributions to major projects such as solar plants on former industrial sites. The entity has grown through acquisitions including Vents d’Oc and Global Wind Power France, expanding its project pipeline significantly.
