PETRONAS LNG Ltd. (PLL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS), Malaysia's national oil and gas company. Established as the global LNG trading and marketing arm of PETRONAS (formerly known as ASEAN LNG Trading Co. Ltd.), PLL manages the sale, purchase, and distribution of liquefied natural gas sourced from PETRONAS' extensive production assets, including the PETRONAS LNG Complex in Bintulu, Sarawak—the world's third-largest single-site LNG facility with a capacity of approximately 30 million tonnes per annum.
PLL supports PETRONAS' integrated LNG value chain by securing long-term supply agreements, chartering LNG carriers, and delivering cargoes to over 25 countries. Recent activities include a 20-year time charter with MISC for five advanced 174,000 cbm LNG carriers and SPAs with partners like QatarEnergy, CNOOC, and Venture Global to ensure energy security and facilitate the transition to lower-carbon fuels.
