The 2.5 MW electrolyzer produces 350 tons of renewable hydrogen annually, reducing carbon footprints and powering transport. Future plans include larger electrolyzers and regional hydrogen initiatives.

The project will feature a 150 MW electrolyzer by 2025, expanding to 1 GW by 2027, using local renewable energy to cut costs and CO2 emissions, supporting industry and mobility.

The new plant in La Canonja boosts ethylene oxide derivative production from 3,000 to 45,000 tons annually, with the old plant now focusing on high-value pharmaceutical products.

The sale includes a 25,000mt emulsions unit with 29 employees. Celanese will still market certain products. The VAE unit will close due to lack of buyers, with production ceasing in October.
