Energietransitiefonds Rotterdam (Energy Transition Fund Rotterdam) is a public investment fund based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, established to accelerate the region’s energy transition, particularly in and around the Port of Rotterdam industrial cluster.
The fund supports companies and projects that reduce greenhouse-gas emissions and enable cleaner energy and industrial processes, including solutions in renewable and low-carbon energy, energy efficiency, sustainable heat, electrification, energy storage, and the circular economy. Its mandate is to help promising technologies and infrastructure move from pilot to scale, strengthening regional competitiveness while advancing the decarbonization of energy-intensive sectors such as chemicals, fuels, and building materials.
