It is developing the Gabare project, one of the largest integrated solar energy and battery storage initiatives in Bulgaria, located in the Byala Slatina region. The project comprises a photovoltaic plant with approximately 415 MWp capacity and a battery energy storage system of around 600 MWh.
With estimated total investments of EUR 300 million, the project is in a ready-to-build stage following acquisition of necessary permits. Construction is slated to begin after contract finalization, with first production expected in 2028. OMV Petrom will offtake 50% of the solar output under a power purchase agreement.
