About Dunav Solar Plant

Dunav Solar Plant OOD is a Bulgarian joint venture company owned equally by OMV Petrom and Enery. It is developing the Gabare project, one of the largest integrated solar energy and battery storage initiatives in Bulgaria, located in the Byala Slatina region. The project comprises a photovoltaic plant with approximately 415 MWp capacity and a battery energy storage system of around 600 MWh.

With estimated total investments of EUR 300 million, the project is in a ready-to-build stage following acquisition of necessary permits. Construction is slated to begin after contract finalization, with first production expected in 2028. OMV Petrom will offtake 50% of the solar output under a power purchase agreement.
