CVK Mining Operations Industry and Trade Inc.

CVK Maden İşletmeleri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., known in English as CVK Mining Operations Industry and Trade Inc. and commonly referred to as CVK Madencilik, is a Turkish mining company headquartered in Istanbul's Beşiktaş district.

Founded in 2006 as CVK Krom Maden Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. to focus on chrome mining, the company expanded its scope to other metallic minerals and changed its name in 2011. It draws on the Çevik family's more than 40 years of mining experience, with initial licenses dating to 1980 and the first concentration plant established in 1990 in Kayseri.

The company produces and exports lump and concentrate chromite ore, as well as lead, zinc, copper, and silver concentrates from its own licensed areas across multiple Turkish provinces. Key operations include chrome plants in Kayseri and Bursa (Harmancık), lead-zinc flotation facilities in Çanakkale (Kalkım) and Izmir regions, and ongoing development of gold projects such as Sarıalan in Balıkesir.

In 2024, CVK acquired 100% of Orta Truva Madencilik Sanayi Ticaret A.Ş. (TV Tower polymetallic project in Çanakkale) and 70% of Netherlands-based Virtus Mining Ltd., gaining control of Aldridge Mineral Madencilik A.Ş. and the Yenipazar polymetallic project in Yozgat, which holds substantial UMREK-reported resources of gold, silver, copper, lead, and zinc. The group continues exploration on additional licenses and emphasizes sustainable, environmentally responsible mining practices with modern technology.

CVK Madencilik is publicly listed on Borsa Istanbul (ticker CVKMD) since April 2023 with a portion of shares offered to the public. It operates with 100% domestic capital, under the controlling ownership of the Çevik family led by Hüseyin Çevik, and maintains subsidiaries including Hayri Ögelman Madencilik A.Ş. The company positions itself as a growing player in Turkey's metallic minerals sector, with significant chrome exports and expanding interests in polymetallics and gold.
