Biogas Västra Skaraborg AB is a Swedish renewable energy company focused on producing biogas and upgraded biomethane in the Västra Skaraborg region of Västra Götaland. It develops and operates anaerobic digestion and gas-upgrading facilities that convert manure, agricultural residues, and other organic waste into renewable methane and nutrient-rich digestate.
The company works with regional agricultural and municipal stakeholders to enable circular value chains, returning digestate to fields as biofertilizer and supplying biomethane for use in transport, industry, and heating. Its activities support greenhouse‑gas reduction and resource efficiency in Sweden’s energy system.
A new plant in Sweden will produce 70 GWh of biomethane annually, using agricultural waste, supported by Klimatklivet for reduced emissions.
