ArianeGroup SAS, also known as ArianeGroup, is a French aerospace company specializing in the design, development, manufacturing, and operation of space launchers and propulsion systems for civil and military applications. It serves as the industrial prime contractor for the European Space Agency's Ariane 6 launcher.
Formed in 2015 as a 50/50 joint venture between Airbus and Safran (formerly Airbus Safran Launchers), the company is headquartered in Les Mureaux, France, with operations in France and Germany. It employs approximately 8,300 to 8,700 people and reported revenues around €2.5 billion in 2024.
ArianeGroup also provides equipment and services for satellites, defense systems including the M51 missile, and related technologies such as cryogenics and propellants. In early 2026, it established a U.S. subsidiary, Sodern America, to expand manufacturing activities.
