Founded on March 13, 2024, AEOLUS SAS is owned 50% by CFAO SAS and 50% by Eurus Energy Holdings Corporation, both wholly owned subsidiaries of Toyota Tsusho Corporation. It integrates CFAO’s deep business networks and operational knowledge in Africa with Eurus Energy’s expertise in renewable energy project development, ownership, and operation in multiple countries.

The company’s core activities focus on solar power generation and electricity sales under long-term power purchase agreements. Its first projects are in Tunisia, developed in partnership with Scatec ASA: the 50 MW Sidi Bouzid Mezzouna and Tozeur plants (commercial operation in early 2026) and the 100 MW Sidi Bouzid II plant (expected 2027). These initiatives supply power to the Tunisian utility STEG, supported by financing from the EBRD, EIB, and other institutions, along with MIGA guarantees.

Headquartered at 57-59 rue Yves Kermen in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, AEOLUS SAS functions as Toyota Tsusho Group’s dedicated platform for scaling renewable energy IPP activities on the African continent, supporting regional energy transition and sustainable growth.
