Introduction

Univation Technologies has announced a new world-scale design for its UNIPOL™ PE Process, offering an increased capacity of 800,000 tonnes per year. This development marks a significant advancement from the previous capacity of 650,000 tonnes per year.

Product Flexibility

The new design maintains flexibility in producing various polyethylene resins, including unimodal and bimodal high-density polyethylene (HDPE), linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), and metallocene PE (mPE) products.

Operational Advantages

The enhanced capacity provides substantial benefits for polyethylene producers, such as higher output, cost-effective operations through economies of scale, and compatibility with Univation's catalyst offerings, including PRODIGY™, ACCLAIM™, and XCAT™.

Univation's PREMIER™ APC+ 3.0 Process Control platform further optimizes the operational performance of the new design, enhancing raw material efficiency, production rate maximization, and on-spec production.
