Restart of Mabruk Field
TotalEnergies has announced the restart of production at the Mabruk oil field in Libya, where it holds a 37.5% interest. The field, located onshore in concession C17, approximately 130 km south of Sirte, had its production halted in 2015.
New Production Unit
A new production unit with a capacity of 25,000 barrels per day was initiated in May 2024. The start-up of this facility occurred on February 28, 2026, less than two years after the project began.
Strategic Alignment
This project is part of TotalEnergies' strategy to achieve low-cost, low-emission oil production and supports the company's objective of 3% annual production growth until 2030.
