Topsoe's Award Recognition

Topsoe has been awarded the S&P Platts Global Energy Award for Excellence in Chemicals, recognizing its achievements in sustainable chemical solutions and innovation in the energy sector. The award highlights Topsoe's role in advancing technologies that support the energy transition.

Key Projects and Developments

In October 2025, Topsoe opened Europe's largest Solid Oxide Electrolyzer Cell (SOEC) manufacturing facility in Denmark, with an annual capacity of 500MW for industrial-scale green hydrogen production. This facility is designed to produce high-efficiency electrolysis stacks, contributing to the lowest levelized cost of green hydrogen.

Topsoe has also partnered with Forestal del Atlantico for the Triskelion e-methanol project in Galicia, Spain, providing its SOEC technology. Additionally, Topsoe signed a 5GW reservation agreement with First Ammonia, a U.S.-based developer of green ammonia, to supply its SOEC technology.

Innovative Technologies

Topsoe has advanced its eREACT™ technology, which enables the production of low-carbon hydrogen and fuels through an innovative electrified reactor design. This technology can convert various feedstocks into low-carbon hydrogen or other chemicals and fuels, combining renewable electricity and natural gas while reducing emissions. The eREACT™ technology is poised to play a significant role in the global transition to a low-carbon economy.

In November 2024, Topsoe and Aramco signed a joint development agreement to produce low-carbon hydrogen using the eREACT™ technology at a plant in Saudi Arabia, further demonstrating Topsoe's commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions.
