Investment and scope

Siemens is investing more than $165 million to expand U.S. manufacturing capacity for electrical infrastructure for AI and large data centers, expanding operations across North and South Carolina and creating more than 350 new jobs.

Manufacturing focus

Expansion increases production of integrated, prefabricated power distribution systems to reduce on-site installation time and scales medium-voltage protection and automation systems, switchgear, electrical panels and busway systems for large data centers.

Operational impact

The expansion supports rapid data-center build-outs by enabling faster deployment of reliable, efficient power systems to meet rising compute and power-density requirements.

Workforce development

Through the Siemens Foundation, the company launched Careers Electric, a national electrical training initiative that began in North Carolina with a $9.25 million investment to expand technical training and workforce pathways.

Previous U.S. commitments

This investment builds on nearly $700 million Siemens has committed in recent years to expand local U.S. manufacturing capacity, including new and expanded electrical products facilities in Pomona, California, and Fort Worth, Texas.
