Sasol to restart Augusta ISOSIV paraffin unit

Restart decision and timing

Sasol has decided to restart the ISOSIV paraffin unit at Augusta following constrained supply of n‑Paraffins used in LAB production. Preparatory work to bring the unit back into operation will begin shortly, with beneficial operation expected in the second half of calendar year 2026, subject to completion of all required activities.

Scope and priorities

The restart will follow a deliberate, phased process focused on safety, asset integrity, regulatory and permitting requirements, and workforce readiness. Sasol stated it will ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, permits and environmental standards.

Management statement

“This decision enables us to respond responsibly to changing customer and market needs while maintaining the high safety and operational standards that guide our business,” said Guglielmo Allibrio, Sasol’s Vice President of Operations in Italy. The company said it is taking a disciplined and thorough approach to preparing the unit for restart.
