Saipem wins roughly USD 350 million offshore contract in Angola

Contract award
Saipem has been awarded a new offshore contract in Angola worth approximately 350 million USD. The contract was assigned by Azule Energy Angola S.p.A., an incorporated joint venture owned by Eni and bp, and relates to the West Hub Tails project, part of the Agogo Integrated West Hub Development.
Location and conditions
The project is located about 180 km offshore Angola with water depths up to 1,750 meters and involves subsea tie‑ins to the Agogo Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading unit (FPSO).
Scope and schedule
Saipem’s scope covers engineering, fabrication, transportation and installation of subsea infrastructures, including approximately 62 km of flowlines, risers and umbilicals. The work is expected to run for approximately two and a half years.
Execution and local content
Fabrication activities will be carried out at Saipem’s Ambriz yard in Angola with the involvement of local companies and workforce. For the offshore campaign Saipem will deploy the construction vessels FDS and Normand Maximus.
