Acquisition
Yara announced on July 2, 2026 that it had agreed to acquire GCA Finance LLC, GCA Operations LLC and Gulf Coast Ammonia LLC (GCA).
Arbitration notice
On August 20, GCA received a request for arbitration alleging the claimant suffered loss and damages amounting to at least USD 2 billion for alleged wrongful termination of an ammonia offtake agreement.
Company response
GCA strongly disputes that the termination was wrongful, rejects the claims in their entirety and will vigorously defend itself against any allegations. Yara supports GCA’s assessment and states the claim does not impact the financial or strategic rationale for the acquisition.
