EU REACH Certification
PureCycle Technologies has received the REACH Certificate of Compliance, enabling the sale of its PureFive™ resin in the European Union. This certification ensures that the materials comply with the EU's regulatory standards for human health and environmental protection.
Regulatory Requirements
Under EU REACH regulations, any substance used in product manufacturing must be registered if production exceeds one ton per year. This requirement also applies to Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway.
European Expansion Plans
PureCycle plans to establish its first European facility at the port of Antwerp in Belgium, with completion expected by mid-2028. This expansion aims to meet the growing demand for PureFive™ resin in Europe.
Current Operations
The company's flagship dissolution recycling facility in Ironton, Ohio, became operational in 2023. The PureFive™ resin produced there has been successfully used in various applications, including food packaging, automotive parts, and textiles.
