Plenitude and Methagora Partner for 15-Year Biomethane Supply in France

Partnership Overview

Plenitude and Methagora have entered a 15-year agreement to source 50 GWh of biomethane annually in France. This partnership supports the French Biomethane Production Certificates (BPC) scheme, which encourages investment in biomethane production and ensures access to certified, locally produced energy.

Biomethane Sourcing

Methagora will supply Plenitude with biomethane sourced from various agricultural areas in France. This initiative aims to bolster the development of the French biomethane sector by converting existing methanation sites to biomethane injection facilities.

Company Activities

Plenitude is active in France's retail market, serving nearly 1 million customers and maintaining around 1GW of installed renewable energy capacity. The company is also expanding its presence in the electric vehicle charging solutions market.

Methagora's Role

Methagora focuses on converting existing methanation sites that currently use biogas for cogeneration. By installing new equipment such as purifiers, compressors, and expansion valves, Methagora aims to enhance biomethane production and support agricultural methanation operators in transitioning to biomethane injection.
