Methagora is an energy company active in France’s biomethane sector. It works with agricultural methanation operators to convert existing anaerobic digestion sites that currently use biogas for cogeneration into facilities capable of injecting biomethane into the gas grid. The company installs and integrates equipment such as gas purifiers, compressors, and expansion valves to enable this upgrade and aggregate certified biomethane sourced from various agricultural regions.
Through long-term supply agreements, including a 15-year contract to deliver 50 GWh of biomethane annually to Plenitude, Methagora supports the development of certified, locally produced renewable gas under France’s Biomethane Production Certificates (BPC) scheme. Its activities aim to expand reliable biomethane availability and strengthen the country’s renewable gas infrastructure.
