Petrobras signs eight PSCs in Ivory Coast
- Petrobras, via Petrobras Netherlands B.V. (PNBV), signed Production Sharing Contracts for eight offshore blocks in the Ivory Coast.
- The PSCs cover blocks CI-513, CI-600, CI-601, CI-602, CI-603, CI-605, CI-701 and CI-702.
- PNBV will hold a 90% stake and act as operator, while PETROCI Holding will hold 10%.

Petrobras, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Petrobras Netherlands B.V. (PNBV), the Republic of Ivory Coast and PETROCI Holding signed Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs) on 17/9 for eight offshore exploratory blocks during a ceremony in Abidjan attended by Sylvia Anjos, Executive Director of Exploration and Production at Petrobras.
Contract scope and stakes
The PSCs cover offshore blocks CI-513, CI-600, CI-601, CI-602, CI-603, CI-605, CI-701 and CI-702. PNBV will hold a 90% stake and act as operator; PETROCI Holding will hold the remaining 10%.
Strategic intent
Petrobras says the move aligns with its Business Plan to replenish oil and gas reserves by exploring new frontiers in Brazil and abroad, diversify its exploratory portfolio and promote long-term value and sustainability. Petrobras President Magda Chambriard noted the company will apply its experience and technical capacity to assess potential on the African Atlantic margin.
