Argentina LNG project
The parties reviewed the Argentina LNG project, developed by Eni together with YPF and XRG, which aims to exploit Vaca Muerta resources through floating liquefaction (FLNG) solutions. The project's initial phase envisages production of 12 million tonnes per year via two 6 MTPA FLNG facilities.
Timelines and scale
An investment decision for the project is expected by the end of the year, with production start-up planned in 2030. A potential subsequent expansion to 18 MTPA is currently under evaluation.
