Argentina LNG (YPF, Eni, XRG) applies for RIGI approval

RIGI application
Argentina LNG has submitted an application to join Argentina’s Large Investment Incentive Regime (RIGI) to support development of a large-scale LNG export project leveraging the resources of the Vaca Muerta formation.
Project scope
The project aims to develop an integrated LNG value chain from upstream gas production to export infrastructure, including gas transportation and processing facilities, and two Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) units to be located offshore Río Negro province.
Capacity and timeline
The two FLNG units are planned with a combined liquefaction capacity of 12 million tonnes per year (MTPA). The submission of the RIGI application represents an important milestone toward the project’s Final Investment Decision, which is targeted by the end of 2026.
