Agreement Details
TotalEnergies and Google have entered into a 21-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to supply 1 TWh of renewable power from the Citra Energies solar plant in Malaysia's Kedah province. This agreement supports Google's data center operations in the region.
Project Timeline
The solar farm is scheduled to begin construction in early 2026. The PPA will become effective upon the project's Financial Close, anticipated in the first quarter of 2026.
Project Partners
The Malaysian Energy Commission awarded the project to TotalEnergies, holding a 49% stake, and its local partner MK Land, with a 51% stake, in August 2023. This initiative is part of Malaysia’s Corporate Green Power Programme (CGPP).
