Project Overview
LOTTE-Air Liquide Ener’Hy, a joint venture formed in 2022 by Air Liquide Korea and LOTTE Chemical, has commenced operations of Korea's largest high-pressure hydrogen shipping center in Daesan, Chungnam. This facility aims to provide a stable hydrogen supply to the mobility market.
Facility Capabilities
Located in the Daesan Petrochemical Complex, the center can produce enough hydrogen to fuel 4,200 passenger vehicles or 1,100 hydrogen buses per day. It serves as a key infrastructure for fueling large hydrogen commercial vehicles, including buses and trucks.
Logistics and Technology
The facility enhances logistics efficiency with advanced high-pressure tube trailers, capable of transporting 3.5 times more hydrogen than existing 200 bar trailers. Built on Air Liquide’s proprietary technologies, the center integrates strict quality control systems and world-class safety standards.
Government Support
The project is backed by the Korean government's Hydrogen Shipping Center Construction Subsidy Program, reflecting the country's commitment to expanding its hydrogen economy and demonstrating leadership in energy transition.
