LOTTE-Air Liquide Ener’Hy is a South Korea–based joint venture between LOTTE Chemical and Air Liquide focused on the hydrogen value chain. The company combines industrial gases expertise and petrochemical capabilities to deliver hydrogen supply solutions for mobility and industrial applications.
Its activities include developing and operating high-pressure hydrogen production and distribution hubs, managing tube-trailer logistics, and supporting hydrogen refueling infrastructure for commercial vehicles and other users. By expanding hydrogen logistics and supply capabilities, LOTTE-Air Liquide Ener’Hy contributes to the growth of Korea’s hydrogen ecosystem within the broader chemical and energy industries.
Targets >60% specialty by 2030; building a 500k t/yr compounding plant; creating hydrogen value chain—four fuel-cell plants (80MW) and 450‑bar H2 hub; expanding high-end copper foil and TMAH output.
Shifting from commodity petrochemicals, the company invests in specialty materials, hydrogen, and semiconductor solutions, while enhancing financial stability through strategic divestments.
The partnership aims to boost hydrogen use in Europe, South Korea, and the U.S., focusing on infrastructure, supply chain, and mobility to support global energy transition and carbon neutrality.
