The confirmation of capacity reservations marks the end of Phase 1 and the start of Phase 2. Phase 2 activities include the issuance of Heads of Terms and the development of a Terminal Use Agreement for this Open Season, alongside further development, permitting and commercialisation work.
Capacity and expansion plan
The terminal’s modular setup supports an initial import capacity with potential expansion to a maximum annual throughput of 2.6 million tonnes of ammonia, corresponding to around 350,000 tonnes of hydrogen. If the market demonstrates demand for expansion, Uniper intends to launch one or more additional Open Seasons offering different capacity products and terms while safeguarding the rights of current participants.
