Evonik utilized the shutdown of its methionine facilities in Antwerp during September and October to modernize the logistics infrastructure for MetAMINO®. The upgrade includes a new filling installation and expanded storage for big bags, enhancing flexibility in packaging options.
Packaging Options
MetAMINO® is now available in 1,000 kg big bags, 25 kg bags, and as bulk material. The new 25 kg packaging is more environmentally friendly, featuring two layers of paper and reducing the CO2 footprint by 20% compared to the previous version.
Market Demand
There is an increasing demand for larger packaging units in the methionine market. The new state-of-the-art filling facility positions Evonik to meet current and future customer requirements effectively.
