Agreement
Evonik signed a large-scale agreement to supply SEPURAN® Green membrane modules and related biogas-upgrading technology to MTC Orec Sdn Bhd (MTCO), formalised at a signing event on April 23, 2026, at Evonik’s Schoerfling membranes site.
Partner and expansion
MTCO, co-owned and managed by government-funded VentureTECH, is a designer and builder of biogas upgrading plants and intends to expand plant development across Asia.
Technology
SEPURAN® Green modules use proprietary polyimide fibres spun in Austria and assembled into ready-to-use cylindrical modules; the backward-integrated supply chain allows customization to specific upgrading specifications and targets low-energy separation to produce biomethane of LNG quality.
Deployment and patents
The system designs are covered by patents in the U.S., EU and other regions, and SEPURAN® Green technology is installed in over 2,000 upgrading plants worldwide.
