Agreement Details

Eni has signed a long-term LNG sale agreement with Turkish company BOTAŞ. Under this agreement, Eni will supply approximately 0.4 million tons per annum (MTPA) of LNG to BOTAŞ for a duration of 10 years, starting from 2028.

Previous Deal

This new contract follows a previous 3-year deal between Eni and BOTAŞ, signed in September 2025, for the supply of approximately 0.4 MTPA of LNG starting in November 2025.

Strategic Importance

The agreement is Eni’s first long-term LNG sale to Türkiye, highlighting the increasing role of LNG in meeting the country's energy needs. It aligns with Eni’s strategy to diversify its global LNG footprint and expand its customer base in high-potential markets.

Future Goals

Eni aims to grow its LNG portfolio to approximately 20 MTPA by 2030, leveraging projects in countries such as Congo, Mozambique, the US, and Indonesia.
