BOTAŞ Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (Boru Hatları ile Petrol Taşıma Anonim Şirketi) is Türkiye’s state-owned energy infrastructure company. It plans, builds, and operates the country’s natural gas and crude oil transmission systems, manages gas imports and wholesale supply, and provides system balancing and transmission services across the national grid. Headquartered in Ankara, BOTAŞ is a central player in Türkiye’s gas market and an important conduit for regional energy flows.
The company operates key LNG import infrastructure, including onshore terminals and floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs), and manages underground natural gas storage facilities that support seasonal demand and security of supply. BOTAŞ also operates major crude oil pipelines and marine export terminals, notably around the Ceyhan hub, and is involved in international pipeline projects and interconnections that link Türkiye with suppliers and consumers in the Caspian, Middle East, and European regions.
