Eni Launches Ndungu Full-Field Offshore Angola

Key highlights
  • Ndungu full-field includes seven production wells and four injection wells.
  • Expected production peak is 60,000 barrels of oil per day.
  • Ndungu reached production 6 months after Agogo FPSO first oil.
  • Agogo and Ndungu aim for a combined peak output of 175,000 barrels per day.

Project Overview

The Ndungu full-field, part of the Agogo Integrated West Hub Project (IWH), has commenced operations in Block 15/06, offshore Angola. This development includes seven production wells and four injection wells, with a projected peak production of 60,000 barrels of oil per day.

Operational Milestones

The Ndungu full-field achieved production just six months after the Agogo FPSO's first oil, highlighting the project's efficiency in delivering deepwater oil and gas projects swiftly while maintaining safety standards.

Strategic Integration

The phased integration of the Agogo IWH Project, with initial production from Ndungu via the N’goma FPSO and later through the Agogo FPSO, aims to ensure sustained long-term production from Block 15/06. This initiative is expected to significantly contribute to Angola's national oil output, aligning with the country's strategic petroleum objectives.

Production Goals

Combined, the Agogo and Ndungu fields are projected to reach a peak output of approximately 175,000 barrels per day. This development reflects a focus on maximizing value while minimizing time-to-market, subsurface risks, and carbon emissions.
