Eni and YPF have signed a non-binding agreement with XRG, part of the ADNOC Group, for potential involvement in the Argentina LNG (ARGLNG) project. This project focuses on the 12 MTPA liquefied natural gas phase, part of a larger integrated upstream-midstream gas development initiative.
ARGLNG Project Details
The ARGLNG project aims to develop resources from the onshore "Vaca Muerta" field, targeting international markets. It plans to export up to 30 million tonnes of LNG annually by 2030, in various phases. The project involves gas production, processing, transportation, and liquefaction for export through two floating gas liquefaction units, each with a capacity of 6 MTPA.
Agreement and Future Steps
