Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation announced that its bioengineering plastic, DURABIO, has been selected for use in the AI speaker components of the new Teana, launched by Dongfeng Nissan in China in November 2025.

Design and Functionality
The AI speaker, located on the dashboard of the Teana, features an inverted pyramid design. It illuminates with six light pillars that emit light in 256 colors, creating a crystal-like, colorful, and transparent texture.
