Recognition
The DuPont Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) team was named a “Sustainability Squad” in the Business Intelligence Group’s 2026 Sustainability Awards, recognising its collaborative work over the past year to develop, validate and commercialise DLE technologies that support lithium recovery for electrification and energy storage.
Portfolio
Announced in July 2026, the end-to-end DLE portfolio comprises more than 20 products across lithium-selective sorbents, nanofiltration and reverse osmosis membranes, and ion exchange resins. The collection is designed to address the complexity and variability of lithium brine resources and allows customers to deploy complete end-to-end solutions or select individual technologies to fit specific process requirements.
Team and activities
The recognised team spans research and development, technical service, commercial strategy and marketing. Over the past year it supported customer pilots and projects across major lithium-producing regions and helped translate laboratory innovation into commercial solutions through testing, process modelling, piloting support and application expertise.
Market intent
The integrated portfolio and technical expertise aim to optimise the entire lithium extraction flowsheet rather than treating process steps in isolation, supporting producers evaluating, validating and implementing solutions to scale lithium supply chains for electric vehicles and energy storage.
