Case filed in China
dsm-firmenich has initiated patent infringement litigation before the Xiong’An New District Court of Hebei Province, China, against multiple Chinese entities, including a sclareol producer and a research institute. The petition alleges unauthorized use of dsm-firmenich’s patent for the production of sclareol, a valuable intermediate in the production of amber ingredients such as Ambrox® Super.
Remedies sought
The company requests that the Court order the defendants to cease the unauthorized use of the patented technology and to provide compensation for the alleged infringement.
