  • A new production facility in Kolin, Czech Republic, is under design and construction.
  • The partnership aims to double Natron's battery manufacturing capacity.
  • Plans for U.S. production facilities are being evaluated.

Partnership Overview

Draslovka has entered into a research and development partnership with Natron Energy to advance sodium-ion battery technology. This collaboration focuses on the development, commercialization, and large-scale production of high-quality Prussian blue materials, essential for Natron's proprietary sodium-ion battery technologies.

Infrastructure and Production Plans

Draslovka is leveraging its chemical plant in Kolin, Czech Republic, to design and construct a new reference production facility. This facility will serve as a model for expanding operations in the U.S. and support Natron's goal of scaling sodium-ion battery production. The Kolin facility is expected to begin supplying Prussian blue materials to Natron in 2026, doubling Natron's battery manufacturing capacity.

Sustainability and Supply Chain

The partnership aims to address the shortage of critical raw materials by using sustainable solutions. Draslovka's chemistry will support Natron's supply chain without relying on critical minerals from high-risk regions. This collaboration seeks to enhance global battery supply chain security and promote an economically competitive and sustainable industry.

Future Expansion

Draslovka is considering options to build production capabilities in the U.S. and evaluating opportunities for additional plants to meet the growing demand for sodium-ion batteries. This expansion aligns with the partnership's goal of creating a shorter and more resilient supply chain for large-scale sodium-ion battery production in the U.S. and Europe.
