- The process uses Integrated Cascading Catalytic Pyrolysis (ICCP) and mesoporous zeolite catalysts.
- The innovation focuses on converting waste plastics and biomass into circular aromatics.
Breakthrough in Chemical Recycling
Zeopore Technologies and BioBTX have achieved a significant advancement in converting waste plastics and biomass into circular aromatics. By integrating BioBTX's Integrated Cascading Catalytic Pyrolysis (ICCP) technology with Zeopore's custom-designed mesoporous zeolite catalysts, they have managed to double the yields of BTX (benzene, toluene, and xylene).
Enhanced Catalyst Performance
The collaboration focuses on improving the selectivity of the process, resulting in higher BTX yields and reduced formation of unwanted gases. This sets a new benchmark in sustainable chemical recycling, offering a more efficient method for producing renewable aromatics.
