Selection and programme
Carbon Clean was selected for the Net Zero Start‑Up Hub's 2027 incubation cohort following Pitch Day in Fredericia, Denmark. The six‑month incubation runs January to June 2027 and pairs clean‑technology companies with data centre operators, technology leaders, investors and industry experts to validate solutions and accelerate routes to commercial deployment.
Why data centres need compact carbon capture
As data centre power demand grows, the industry needs clean, reliable 24/7 power and dispatchable lower‑carbon options. Carbon capture can contribute, but solutions must be compact, scalable and fast to deploy because site space is limited and integration must minimise impact on operations and surrounding infrastructure.
CycloneCC technical fit
CycloneCC is a modular, prefabricated carbon capture system combining Carbon Clean's APBS‑CDRMax® solvent with Rotating Packed Bed technology. The company says this approach can reduce equipment size by up to 10× and overall footprint by up to 50% compared with conventional carbon capture solutions, making it better suited to constrained data centre sites.
Next steps
During the incubation Carbon Clean will work with the Hub's network to explore deployment pathways for CycloneCC in data centre environments and help accelerate the sector's path to net zero. The Hub is backed by APL, Danfoss, Data4, Google, Microsoft, Schneider Electric and Vertiv.
