Strategic logistics agreements

Borouge signed agreements with Gulftainer at Khor Fakkan, Gulftainer Shipping and Etihad Rail to expand export gateways and multimodal connectivity across the UAE.

Khor Fakkan access

The Gulftainer Khor Fakkan agreement secures an East Coast terminal to broaden export routing options and access alternative, less congested maritime paths.

Inland logistics integration

Gulftainer Shipping will manage Borouge’s inland volumes to improve coordination between inland transport and port operations, increase visibility, reduce turnaround times and support higher throughput with lower cost exposure.

Rail corridor development

Collaboration with Etihad Rail establishes an integrated rail link from Ruwais to East Coast ports with staging near terminals to enable high‑volume, more predictable transit and a modal shift from road to rail, reducing emissions.

Network impact

The combined measures transition Borouge from a port‑dependent model to a diversified, multi‑gateway and multi‑modal network, enhancing routing flexibility, continuity of supply and operational performance.

Corporate note

Borouge International was formed on 30 March 2026, creating the fourth‑largest polyolefins producer by nameplate capacity; Borouge Plc is now part of that platform.
