Biogas Plant Launch
The newly completed biogas and gas upgrading plant in Soncino, near Cremona, Italy, has started feeding 237 Nm³/h of biomethane into the public gas grid. This marks a significant milestone for the agribusiness entrepreneur Dr. Francesco Avogadri, who has partnered with EnviTec Biogas since 2009.
Plant Specifications
The plant, tailored for Azienda Avogadri, processes pig slurry and catch crops. EnviTec constructed the entire facility, including biomass pre-treatment, anaerobic digestion, and the EnviThan biogas upgrading system, leveraging over a decade of experience in three-stage membrane technology.
Ongoing Projects
EnviTec is currently working on three additional projects in Italy. For Azienda Agricola F.lli Scotti, a 426 Nm³/h EnviThan plant is nearing completion in Saerbeck, Germany. Another project in Istia d’Omrone involves expanding an existing biogas plant with a gas upgrading system and a new CHP unit. In Sermide, EnviTec is enhancing an existing plant with a gas-tight final storage unit, a new feeding system, and a complete renovation.
Market Outlook
With the extension of Italy's National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), the biomethane market is expected to progress towards its targets. New support schemes are anticipated, positioning EnviTec to effectively address diverse project and market needs.
