Arq commissions first granular activated carbon line at Red River Plant

Commissioning and ramp-up
Arq has completed commissioning of its first Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) production line at the Red River Plant and has formally moved the facility into ramp-up. Initial production was achieved in recent weeks and operations are now focused on optimising processes to reach nameplate capacity.
Production targets and commercial activity
Management anticipates the plant will reach its full nameplate capacity of 25 million pounds annualized within the next six months. The company reports first sales revenue from initial GAC shipments to customers for previously announced testing programs and will begin fulfilling existing supply agreements as production increases.
Contracts and next steps
Arq is finalising contract negotiations for remaining Phase One production capacity. The company says once ramp-up and contracting milestones are achieved it will be prepared to develop the next stage of its GAC expansion.
